Hey! I’m taking a spanish class right now but i’m having a hard time studying for tests. I’ve tried making flashcards, but in my opinion it’s a waste of time and doesn’t help all that much. Any other ideas to help me memorize 50 vocab words in 1 1/2 weeks?

I always draw pictures and associate the picture to the word, charades in Spanish helps too if you have other friends who are willing to play with you, pictionary can help in the same way that the charades can, but other than that just going over the material as often as you can, even if its just for a minute or two can help

I would say just go over them 10 at a time and work them into a conversation in Spanish. Over all learning a language takes practice, repetition, and dedication.

    Study for 10 minutes everyday.
Go to wordchamp.com and set up an account. (see if your teacher has a class account)
Go to your spanish book’s website.

Try and make a movie in your mind that contains the items/vocabulary words that you need to remember… it could be something like a route that you often take to get home. Place the words and objects in certain places along the way (in your mind) and then run it over and over in your head til you remember them all easily.

Word association also works for some people, like if the word in spanish is similar to something else in English then link the two and it will help trigger your memory of that spanish word. Personally this doesn’t work for me because it just means I have to remember what it was linked to in the first place, but like I say it works for some people.

    All the best!
