I can speak extremely basic Spanish (hola, adios, gracias, etc) but I want to learn spanish for free without a tutor or what not. I found My Language Coach .com but it was no help what so ever. Also does anyone know one of the best ways to learn a new language?

I am using a free downloaded program from the itunes store. I went on the education sector of podcasts and chose one called coffee break Spanish. When I have learnt the pronunciation of the words and phrases from the podcast I go online to check their spellings. Its working pretty well for me and its absolutely free. I put about an our or two in everyday x

I think the best way to learn a language is by practicing it with people that speak that language. Another very effective way is by reading, or as I do, listen to songs in that language (This not only helps in your pronunciation but also in your grammar).

The problem with self learning is that you don’t know if you’re actually learning the language well.

You can speak with Spanish people. I can speak with you, I want to learn English. You can teach me and I teach you ;-) well, if you want you can write your e-mail address and I write you an e-mail with my MSN for to speak. Sorry if I have some mistake, I haven´t a very good English.

    Bye!

The best way I have ever seen to learn a language is to learn the phrases that you encounter on a daily basis. Learn them, and then you’re set. You’ll rarely ever come across anything else.

There is a website that recorded in Spanish speaking countries the most common phrases that natives were speaking on the street, and the most common topics.

    You should check it out:

I guess that the best option is to find people that want to make exchange. At the same time, I would recommend you to attend lessons with a professional Spanish tutor:
